See the Union Square clock tower on the left? Or the shape of the Empire State Building in and the Chrysler Building in the background? This is my view from my apartment in the East Village. Every time I look outside I notice something different that I hadn't seen before. It's incredible there's always a new building to look at that I hadn't noticed beforehand. That's why I wanted to paint this skyline: to capture the details I otherwise overlook and preserve my view of the skyline.
